Embrace the full stop: Welcoming new beginnings this festive season
Wishing you a Happy Christmas, a merry festive season, and an awesome New Year.
I want to leave you with something I shared last year.
In my conversations, I often use the phrase 'full stop, new sentence' to smoothly transition to a different topic. Similarly, 'full stop, new paragraph' indicates shifting to a new subject.
It's a subtle and effective way to guide our discussions in fresh directions.
For the leaders out there - this is important.
The concept of a 'full stop' is a part of my daily conversations and key in my professional work with leaders and teams.
My role involves facilitating change - guiding people and groups to stop old habits that aren't helpful and embracing new methods and perspectives.
It's about marking a full stop and starting new ways of being.
As we approach December 31, let's consider the full stop not as an end but as the beginning of a 'new chapter' or a completely 'new book'.
- What does 2024 hold in store for you?
- Which new skills are you aiming to acquire?
- What fresh narratives will you be telling yourself?
- What habits or actions do you need to halt?
- What new endeavours should you undertake?
- And what successful practices will you carry forward into the new year?
My word and focus next year is 'EXPERIMENT', so I'll be embracing the full stop even more.
I look forward to staying in touch during 2024.
Take care.
